How we give back
Local to Local Challenge
Every year, the staff at Glace Bay Central are given $50.00 to spend at a local business of their choice. This challenge stimulates our local economy and helps small businesses. We also show our support by posting about the businesses on our social media channels.
GBCCU Scholarship Program
Glace Bay Central Credit Union Outstanding School and Community Involvement Scholarship program recognizes the contribution of our community builders of tomorrow. The growth of Glace Bay Central Credit Union exemplifies the achievements of people working together in their own communities. We hope to encourage those qualities of good citizenship and co-operation through this scholarship program.
To be eligible:
- The applicant or applicant’s parents/guardians must have been a member of Glace Bay Central Credit Union prior to January 1st.
Share the Warmth
Every December, the staff at Glace Bay Central put on the Share the warmth campaign. We collect pajamas, hats, and mittens for the less fortunate.
Random Acts of Kindness
We spread kindness throughout our community! Whether it be a donation, volunteering, or gifts, we give back using our Random Acts of Kindess fund.
